honestly nothing. Govt wise since we have a republican president and a democratic house we will have a more balanced govt. but with that nothing gets done. As far as within the house, just that the dems have a few more votes to cancel whatever ideas/bills the republicans are pushing. Politicians are politicians doesnt' matter what party you belong to.

The un-constitutional federal minimum wage will be raised making American products more expensive which will in turn, increase our trade deficit w/ countries like China. Also, it will give businesses that much more of an excuse to hire illegal aliens at the cost of the American citizen.
We will probably see an effort to impeach Bush and Cheney. We will see taxes raised. We will probably see a return to an 'assault weapons' ban, as if that means anything.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth in many parts of America.
Oh and most importantly, terrorists win because we will cut & run from Iraq.

With any luck, nothing will get accomplished for the next 2 years. Our history has shown us that the best case scenario for our government is that it be too divided over partisan politics to actually do anything. When they start getting things done, those things are invariably bad.
