I personally don't think she would win. I base this largely on the midterm election results, which show that the American public wants centrist representation. While the democrats did pick up seats in both the House and the Senate most of the races were fairly close and many of the Democrats that won or picked up seats were not extremely liberal.

Condoleezza Rice's political ideology seems to be extremely conservative. This ideology doesn't fit with the trend, however there is still a lot of time before the Presidential Elections. Also the issue that the Democrats won with, was the War in Iraq, which she has been a vehement supporter of. This clearly puts her in the President's camp and unless his popularity turns around it would seem to be a hard sell.

If Condoleeza runs for the presidency, she will not be elected. (And neither will Hillary. ) Condi is anchored to George W. Bush. She would do any and everything for him. In fact, sometimes she IS him. He gives her a subject; she does all of the research and writing.
But she is a liar. She has learned from the best of them. Her entire campaign - should she run - would be based on lies. Why? Because anything that starts off as a lie, grows into a bigger lie.

No, because she is a black woman. Pretty simple really. OUr county isnt ready for that.

Plus it doesn't help that she is an idiot and most people can not wait for a new administration to come in and replace her.

Plus she is a republican, and unless these 2 next years are horrific, last night was a pretty clear sign from the people. Couple that with the 2 above, and no chance. She has a better chance running as the number 2 on a ticket, then if she is part of a sucessful administration going for the big job.

I dont know if she would get elected, however I would vote for her in a New York minute. I believe that she is a very smart human being and would make a good President. I believe that in my lifetime, I will see a woman as President of the United States. I guess it would depend on who ran against her.

Condoleeza Rice is a very intelligent woman, who has accomplished a lot in her lifetime already, but as for president of the USA, I think not. I believe she would be percieved as one of Bush's "yes" people, and as the majority of the country is completely turned off by Bush right now I think she would not have a chance at the Presidency.

She has too much going against her. Sad to say, but being black and being a woman are viewed by many as automatic strikes against her. Also, she is like a parrot for the President--whatever he says or does, she defends. I can understand that--it's her job. Even though I hate Bush, I can understand that. But, with Bush's approval rating in the toilet, and not getting better, she would be lumped with him, and would have no chance of getting anywhere.

I don't think anyone in Bush's cabinet will have a chance considering his 30% (approximately) approval rating. If the republicans want to have a chance, choose someone who wasn't in Bush's cabinet.

She is great! She would need to start getting people to see her as a potential now .I personally don't see her being incapable of being a president! She certainly not racist so there should not be any fears there! Now on the other hand if it was Jessie Jackson
I would not trust his motives.Never have!
