Looks like the balance in the House has switch but the Republicans still have control of the Senate. Currently the situation in 49 for the Republicans and 47 for the Dems. Even if the Dems do take those two states, the Senate will be stuck in a dead even tie. The two independents could carry the Senate either way. But, for now Republicans still have its power structure, with the presidency and the Senate.

Remember a party needs 51 seats to control the Senate, and that is not going to happen if the Dems take those last two seats, b/c you would have a tie of 49 b/t both the Republicans and the Dems, with 2 independents. So those two independents sure do have a lot of power right now.

Unoffically its a tie 49 each. The two independents usually vote Democrat, and they caucus with the Democratic party. That's why the media lists them as Democrats.

In the two remaining disputed seats, the Democrats are ahead by a couple of thousand votes each.

Still, the Democrats can cut the head off the executive branch by checking and balancing him. The Republicans have been in power too long; they are cocky. We need a change, and Thank God we have it.
