Unfortunately i can't be with my fiance for the holidays. He's at home in the United States and i'm in Germany for a few months. Since we can't celebrate christmas together i wanted to give him a really nice present i can send him in a package. We are getting married in Feburary 2007. I keep asking him want he wants but he can't think of anything. He keeps saying he just wants me to be home but we both know that's not possible. So i need some help with a thoughtful christmas present for him! What do you guys think?!

I'm sorry for your situation, I know first hand that it is tough being apart from a loved one at the holidays. Why not make a video tape of yourself at various locations that have some significant personal meaning to the two of you. Read him a letter, play a favorite song. He will really appreciate being able to watch the video over and over again. Best wishes to you!

How about some sort of history souvenir from Germany? Or perhaps tickets to a sporting event that he enjoys. Or maybe a scrapbook that you've made of pictures of your courtship and the like? something personal for sure though. Maybe an authentic German costume?

You could get him a compass and have it engraved. You could say something like "May you always find you way back to me" or "No matter near of far my heart is where you are". I gave this as a gift once and used this same company. It was sooooooo more beautiful than what it looks like on the net. Hope this helps you and best wishes!

Maybe a really nice picture of you in a nice frame. It is something small and something that will always make him think of you, and its personal. Also if you want something extra maybe take a family member with you and have them take pictures of you in places throughtout Germany, and scrapbook these pictures for him.

I had a friend that had this same problem--her solution was great--she had a picture of him blown up to life size--and then went around town and had her picture taken with "him", like at a restaurant, in the car, shopping,in bed, etc. Then sent him the pictures--he absolutely loved it !!! You could do this with x-mas decorations around.

i think you should give him something sentimental more than something "really nice"....
if he wants something he would go get it for himself...what he wants is YOU
...maybe make him a special photo albulm with pictures of the two of you...
...maybe bake him some cookies or some other treat that you know is his favorite
...write a poem or a huge list of all the things you love and miss about him
....a teddy bear scented with your perfume so that it smells like you

I think that you should take pictures of you in diff. locations in Germany and make a photo album that consists of those pictues so that your fiance can see what your doing and be a part of your experience.
