The area of a circle is calculated by multiplying pi (3.1415926) by the radius squared. If you want it in square feet, make sure that you measure the radius in feet as well.

take the diameter in feet divide by 2, this is your radius. multiply the radius by itself and then by 3.14 this is the square footage of your circle. If you know your circumference but not the diameter divide the circumference by 3.14 and then by 2 this will give you the radius. the formula is Pi*r^2

Area of a circle

A = π r²

The radius must be known

If the radius is 3 feet

A = π r²

A = 3.141592654(3)²

A = 3.141592654(9)

A = 28.27433388 square feet

A = 28.74 square feet rounded ot two decimal places

The answer is 28.74 square feet

Area of circle is pi x radius^2. pi = 3.14159

For a circle with radius of 0.5 ft, the square footage of the circle is 3.14159 x (0.5)^2 = 0.7854 sq ft.
