Sympathy, but then again I am one, so I should have sympathy. Yes we do make mistakes. And it is so easy for everyone to point their finger at us. So be it. Part of the job. Collina said it best.... It is the only job where you can walk out onto the pitch among 20,000 people...... and still be all alone.

Making mistakes I can cope with - part of life and they are only human! BUT the way the FA defends them no matter what, when they are faced with the facts, and the decisions stay is what I think is wrong. The Ref can turn the game around from one bad decision and players can be banned for important games, when the FA wont back down even though a mistake was made. This is wrong & I think destructive to the game. With the backup that the ref's get it's no wonder the supporters of the team verbally let the ref know what they think.

a referee has a very difficult job he can only give what he sees.he does not have instant replay or slow motion.
most refs are very good but they are only human and can make mistakes.
i believe that these even them selves out over the season.
anyway when was the last time a manager complained about a dodgy decision in thier favour???
and if it wasnt for the referees there would be nothing to talk about after the game.

Its a job he is paid to do and like everybody else he makes mistakes,we are all human, imagine what it would be like if when you made a mistake at work 30 thousand people all swore at you and your boss showed action replays of your work to everybody on a t.v., then you had 6-7 people swearing at you from a distance of 1-2 feet away, would you be happy?

Players should not be allowed to approach a referee in the way they do at the moment, football should take a look at the way rugby players accept decisions,

I don't have sympathy for any ref because most of the time they do get stuff. You just have to look at the ones in League One they are rubbish.

It cant be an easy job and if they make an incorrect decision it can come back and haunt them, especially with the repeated TV
replays. It may be time for some sort of video replay to help decide on incidents in a game, though it would have to be such that it dosnt afftect the run of play too much!!
Not an easy problem to solve.

Referee's have THE most difficult job in football...it's about time we have Video evidence....to help the referees.

at the moment there are 4 referees. one on the pitch, 2 linesman, and the last one on the dugout.

surely we need another one for video evidence.

like how cricket is done.

Refs can pee anyone off from time to time but without them football would have no shocks! and to be honest it wouldnt work.... You have to sympythise with them as they give what they see at the time and at the end of the day they are the proffesionals and know what they are doing so you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.....

And dont think im sticking up for them becuase of the game against chelsea!!! Remember when mendes beat man u for us last year and the goal was disallowed!!! that made me so mad!!!!!!!

It's a c#nt of a job. I respect them cause it's hard and modern day footy players are becoming ignorant little gob sh#tes in their face.
You watch rugby league or union massive blokes but they have 100% respect for the ref.

I'm still 100% footy, but i would send off every little sh#t who got in my face and i think a lot of footballers deserve an f'ing slap, get it back to mens game before we allow it to turn into the pansy play acting game on the continent.

I dont see how people can slag us refs off! It's like, ok then you go out there and do it with angry parents and payers and having to make snap decisions in real time and from one angle
