I'm secure where I'm at in life, but very unhappy. I'm afraid to change because where I'm at now is still very secure. I don't know...

My job, school, and boyfriend are all very secure... but I'm extremely unhappy. I'm a full time manager and go to school part time. I want to go away to school, waitress once or twice a week, and break up with my boyfriend.

I know what I have to do, but I'm afraid because I'm not secure with myself.

Why not do something crazy, like apply to a Jet Program and move to Japan at the end of the week. Take some time off and see what your priorities are.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm leaving everything behind and moving 36hours away at the end of November to some where I've never been before. I know no one there but because I'm not happy where I am and with what I currently have I'm doing something about it and I believe me, I hate change.

I have a secure job, I've built up some seniority but I can't stand the work and the bull I have to put up with day after day. I have a small family and I love them to pieces but I have to think of myself and what is best for me. If I stay where I am, doing what I'm doing I'll never get any further ahead.

Right now your sacrificing your happiness. You have this security blanket surrounding you and you're afraid of exposing yourself. Sometimes you have to do the one thing you're truly afraid of to do what's right for yourself. Give up everything and take a chance. I am and I'm scared to death! But I'll never know if I don't try it. I may end up more miserable than I am now but it's the chance I have to take.

Your dream is very positive. You're lying back watching the clouds just as you are watching the events in your life go by. Everything has clarity and definition, and there is variety as well. You're in a relaxed position indicating that you feel strong and confident about the way things are progressing. The sun feels good and colorful butterflies surround you. These are all the options and opportunities that you have right now, and they are plentiful. They can also signify the people in your life right now. Bright, energetic and beautiful, you are surrounded by positive energy from most every direction. This is a wonderful time for you where you are the one who's in charge of your life, and things are going extremely well. Seize some of those opportunities!

Don't stay in a safe situation that makes you unhappy. You know what you want so go after it. Yes it's scary! But the most rewarding things in life come when we take a leap into the unknown. Go after your dreams! Don't stay in a rut. Life is too short to waste.

I was afraid to take risks (I tend to lack self-confidence) but I forced myself & everything is falling into place. I bought a house in a new community, started showing my artwork, started singing at a local bar & it was there that I met the man of my dreams (a fellow singer/songwriter.) When you take a step in the right direction, the universe starts helping you along. You'll meet the right people, things will happen. It's magical! Just trust yourself! You can do it! Trust the universe. Things will happen as they should! I left my parental home which was safe & a dull relationship with the wrong person (which was safe). It was scary but the best thing I've ever done!

Good luck! Change is scary especially for creatures of habit, but it can & must be done. If you never change, you never grow. Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured...

Whatever you do, don't be impulsive. The reason you're unhappy is because you want to satisfy everyone in your life (thus the, "I know what I have to do, but I'm afraid" factor). We are all afraid of the unknown and unforeseen. Be brave and make the right decision for YOURSELF.

Note: I hope you're NOT breaking up for another guy. All the best!!!

Think. If you are unhappy being secure, then take a chance! Of course you are afraid at first! But who knows! You might love it! =D Get up, get out there, and live your life the fullest!

Don't die secure and unhappy. If you don't take your chances you'll be sorry you never did.

When we start to progress on the spiritual path our initial reaction might be fear, or rejection, as we start to understand that spirituality is about bonding, connecting with others. Our inherent nature is to focus on ourselves, to try to benefit from any situation we are in, many time in the expense of others. Spirituality on the other hand tries to change this nature of ours, and lead us to "spiritual love", where we give to others and love them unconditionally. But we do not need to fear anything, we do not need to change anything forcefully. All the changes happen gradually and by our own agreement and free will, as we understand that connecting to others, and unity within humanity is the natural state, and this is what gives a better and more predictable future. I hope it helps, all the best.

As the degree of dissatisfaction increases, the fear of change and uncertainty reduces.
