Honetly, im not pro-terrorist or anti-american or anything (like some of you will think) but why are some of you hiding behind your all-mighty Bush trembling in false fear of a major terrorist attack againg on US Soil?

You see why i would think you would think im anti-american?

No one has the balls anymore to attack us on a major scale again. If Bush has done one good thing it is show [terrorists, not necessarily the whole world] that we wont put up with it. The threat has passed, and i dont feel one bit threatened anymore. I admit, at first it was frightening, but since it has been 6 years and nothing has happened, i am begining to doubt Bush's intentions. Is he luring the country into a false sense of security by threatening them with the promise of more terrorist attacks just to justify this war, or phone tapping...and worse yet, are Americans, in general, dumb enough to believe it?

You tell me!

Because they believe the lies. They don't bother to do their own research. They just believe what the President and FOX News tells them.

They ignore the fact that the person responsible for 9/11 is still at large. They ignore the fact that we are still YEARS behind in translating all of that "terrorist wiretapping." They ignore the fact that we are burning bridges with the rest of the world and generating more anti-American sentiment.

I'm not afraid. If the terrorists were all powerful or as fearful as they are trying to make them out to be there would have been a bigger attack on the United States on 9/11. Regardless of what we do there is always going to be terrorists. We have only been attacked on American soil twice, Pearl Harbor and 9/11. America is too important to many countries economies and to the world economy as whole as well as we are powerful allies in time of need. If we were to be destroyed it would be like cutting off your nose despite your face.

I THINK WHY WE ARE CONCERNED OVER THE SAFETY IS WE DON'T WANT TO STRIP BACK WHAT SECURITY HAS BEEN BUILT UP. ARE WE WILLING TO GO BACK TO SQUARE ONE AND OPEN BACK THE DOORS THAT HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR SECURITY REASONS? WILL WE LOSE THE INTELLIGENCE GAINED SINCE 9/11 THAT WAS NOT AVAILABLE PRIOR TO 9/11?

I THINK TIME HAS CAUSED AN AMENSIA OF HOW IT WAS BEFORE 9/11.

I hope you're right that nobody will attack again, and that the threat has passed. I don't agree with you on that, but I really hope I'm wrong.
