Honetly, im not pro-terrorist or anti-american or anything (like some of you will think) but why are some of you hiding behind your all-mighty Bush trembling in false fear of a major terrorist attack againg on US Soil?

You see why i would think you would think im anti-american?

No one has the balls anymore to attack us on a major scale again. If Bush has done one good thing it is show [terrorists, not necessarily the whole world] that we wont put up with it. The threat has passed, and i dont feel one bit threatened anymore. I admit, at first it was frightening, but since it has been 6 years and nothing has happened, i am begining to doubt Bush's intentions. Is he luring the country into a false sense of security by threatening them with the promise of more terrorist attacks just to justify this war, or phone tapping...and worse yet, are Americans, in general, dumb enough to believe it?

You tell me!

The government spends their time on scare tactics, usually around elections, and unfortunately we are dumb enough to believe the lies........ Like how Bush is protecting us in Iraq.....right...........

As a Muslim and natural born American citizen, I am appalled at the level of ignorance many of my fellow citizens seem to have when it comes to this subject. When the Patriot Act was passed, no one I knew seem to care much, except for myself and a few fellow Muslims. This constant paranoia of impending terrorist attacks has truly made many people so afraid they are willing to give up their liberties. I want to feel safe like everyone else, however, I am not willing to give up my freedom of speech, or right to privacy. I am a law abiding citizen who, like everyone else, feels that these terrorists are maniacs hiding behind religion. Still, I am more afraid of the US government than I am of any foreign terrorists. George Bush has ordered more killings of civillians by way of war than Osama ever has.

I think these elections are showing Americans are getting smarter. The Bush bluff is begining to wear off.Perhaps we might even get some of our civil liberties back? I believe that bad things happen and 9-11 proved that it doen't mean they will happen all the time although I am sure that its not the last act of terror we will ever see none the less I would prefer to live free.
