Yes and no.It is possible to hate someone you love for a time in a moment (both at the same time)for something they did to you that hurt you but ultimately only one will thrive either love or hate.

People have different facets in their personalities - some attract, some repulse. the simplest way to guage whether you will get on with someone is to see if they CARE about things the same as you do. You can love someone when they do care, & feel loathing when they act as if they don't care. Emotionally healthy people do not have fixed emotions. We fluctuate. So we are going to have hot or cold feelings sometimes for the same person. It is a very strange way to feel, especially if are close to that person. It can be very confusing. I guess what matters is how often you feel negatively conflicted, compared to how many positive experiences you can notch up? Love can exist because you have a bond EG. a blood tie, you might not see eye to eye, but you can still have a good laugh together... you get over the hate by forgiving... & never feel completely taken over by hatred... but you don't need to have loved to hate
i don't think it's possible. We're talking about emotions so you'd think you could have many at once. But these two are very enthralling passions, whatever of the other may exist is negligible and gets subsumed. Otherwise you're feeling something else -- being-conflicted or indifference.

No it's not. If I loved someone and that person seemed to love me some of the time and seemed to hate me some of the time, I would dump her. Why deal with the her mind games?

Yeah it is possible to love n hate the person at same time..
u may love the person for all his/her good things, but as u know no two human beings have same attitudes and may vary.
There would b certain things which u wil definitely hate about him/her. so its possible for u 2 hate and love at the same time
if you want to stop hatin the person u love, then dont try to change him/her. try to change urself, u wil see LOVE LOVE LOve....This is my true story i hv jus got LOVE and overwhelmed over hate quite succesfully.

Hate is a strong word. I like to say "dislike". Can you love someone and dislike them at the same to? Yes of course.
I love my sister but I dislike her personality.

The opposite of love is not hate.... it's indifference. So love and hate are not mutually exclusive, and therefore you can hate and love at the same time.

Kinda. You can love a person (care about them. want them to do well) and hate what they are doing. But you hate it because it is hurting them.
