ya this question arises in my mind every now and then. Who am I and What am I doing here and Am I a waste?
But in a busy life these question can only disturb you and don't give you any idea for searching some path to get the answers of these questions. I have read a book a fews days back in which it is written that it is the sign of a healthy mind to ask these type of questions with yourself. So I suggest you, not to feel upset or strange. I am sure you are a sensitive human being.

Sometimes what people want when they ask ‘who am I’ is for someone else to give them a reason to live for. But the problem is that you have to find that reason yourself. If someone else shows you what is worth living for then you are not really living my friend. You’d just be drifting like the thousands of drifters out there. ‘Who am I’ is a confession that: in the life you have been living so far you have not been true to yourself – which is a really good start. You need to reach a point where you ask this question before you can begin to create a genuine life. ‘Who am I’ is a confession that each day when you get back home, late at night, you feel the disturbing emptiness of an unfulfilled life. NO body can tell you who you are, because those who never ask this question are in some other dimension all together, and because those who DO ask this question can only tell you what worked for THEM. So the only way for you to know who you are is via a sensitive combination of reflection and action. Don’t be afraid – let the chains lose – both on your thought and your body. Explore, experience and don’t be afraid. After all – why tolerate a life of mediocrity and unfulfillment when there is a whole world out there?

I stopped asking that question when my son was born. I am an example of how a person should be for him. I try to live a good life. I try and be good to myself and good to others. I try to live with love and respect for the good people in the world and hatred and contempt for the bad people in this world. It doesn't matter who I am but what matters is what I do. The responsibility of raise children is huge and navel gazing is a luxury I don't have.

We are like ants crawling all over and dominating a small rock floating through space. Each one is connected to the other somehow, but basically meaningless in itself, just trying to survive.

Sad but true to know we are each not the center of the universe. Go hug someone long and slow, it'll make you feel better...

Yes, many times before
But now I know why I'm here but knowing who I am is hard to grasp sometimes. But honestly you are not alone, there are a lot of people feeling what you're feeling
