If you know what kind a music he like, get him a CD. If he likes to build things buy him a tool he might not have. Sometimes gift cards are great too, but not so meaningful, yet always appreciated.

What kind of music does he like? buy a cd that he doesn't have. What is he into? If you are stumped buy a gift card and he'll get what he wants.

If he likes to download music you gould go to Best buy and get him a card for i-tunes. (Just like a phone card).
