It's probably been deemed as politically incorrect and offensive to the f***ing Muslims by this stupid government of ours.

Well I'm on my 2nd poppy of the year (the first one went in the washing machine, D'Oh!). I am surprised at how few people seem to be wearing them nowadays. I will NEVER forget the people who have fought for us in the past and those who are fighting for our country every day. I think it is disgusting that people think the armistice day silence is pointless and will continue to support this good cause.
Maybe many of the poppy sellers are getting too old and the British Legion needs new volunteers to sell them?

Unfortunately many people believe that by wearing a poppy they agree with the current conflicts overseas. Their short sighted view of life in general goes against everything the poppy stands for. This special day is not about current problems, it's about the people who sacrificed their lives for freedom and what they believed in. Go to a major outlet on Remembrance day and assuming the store announces a two minute silence, see how many people go about their shopping instead. Everyone of them should get a slap in the head to wake them up.

I've seen loads of poppies for sales in shop counters, in banks etc and there are always poppy sellers outside the major supermarkets.
Five of my Great uncles fought ((in the South Wales Borderers) and my Grandad fought (in The Welsh Guards) in WWI (2 of my Great uncles died on the Somme, one died shortly after the war from shell shock and injuries). My father fought in WWII with the 8th Army in the desert .
And I'm only 34 (dad was 52 when I was born)! So I won't ever accept that its not "relevant" to the younger generation!
I wear my poppy with pride to commemorate what was sacrificed by them and their comrades.
If it "offends Muslims" as a previous poster said, then Muslims can **** off. We have a right to honour our heroes in our own country. And they're not going to dictate to us that we can't.
Azalama or whatever your name is - if you don't like selling poppies or honouring British war dead then please purchase a one way ticket OUT of this country.

I'm a seller and I'm out and about tomorrow. I've taken time off of work epecially, as I am proud of our heroes. I'm the youngest seller I know, I'm 24. We owe our freedom and our lives to these true heroes and I will NEVER forget their sacrifices for our freedom. I donate loads of time and money to this cause. I have bought 4 poppies this year so far.
The Legion looks after the veterans from all wars and conflicts to date, not just the two World Wars.

The Royal British Legion, basically have not gotten off their backsides and organised the poppy precedure correctly this year.
I work for an ex-services charity and we have not enough received poppy's to sell that we always get, despite chasing up our local contacts.
I am waiting for the backlash about people not supporting the cause!!

I have a poppy and wear one every year with pride. You can always volunteer to be a seller yourself or be the representative in your workplace and get the poppies to sell there and send the money to the Legion. Check out their website!

I noticed that too. The Greatest Generation is, well, there aren't many left of them to sell poppies.

I've bought one (and I live in Germany) still, I am on an British Military base so I'd have been very surprised not to be able to get hold of one. I wanted to put one on my Avatar but I couldn't find one which has rather annoyed me!

I suppose that in some places they find that "politically incorrect" . When you hear that this tradition should be banned it makes me feel sick Even if i don't have the age of having fought in any of the 2 WW !
