I've had good luck with Bare Minerals by bare Escentuals. I have oily skin with dark circles under my eyes and broken capillaries. For me this covers my issues, it doesn't clog my pores and I control the coverage.
If you're near with a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora stop in and check it out. Both stores carry a starter kit which is $60-$75, it has 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes and an instructional DVD, plus depending on where you get it some other goodies.
It takes some practice putting it on, but for me this helps with my oily skin. I will touch it up after lunch which is after 1 pm, which isn't too bad considering i put my makeup on at 4:30am.
Give it a try if you don't like it you can take it back and you're not out anything.
Good luck!!

Cocopuffs. There are many great lines. However not all are good for all skin types. The cheaper the line, the quicker it fades and melts away in the day. The Bare minerals is nice. Better for the skin. You still might need to touch up the powder in the face. Depending on what enviroment you are spending your day in. Sun, moisture, chemicals etc. Will melt the makeup. But, here are some good lines"
Do not buy drugstore. (cheap ingredients)
Bobbie Brown- like there face and eyes. Don't like their mascaras and lips.
Estee lauder- like there eye makeup and powders. The rest is for more mature skin.
Mac. Love thier eyes, lips and blushes.
Trish Mccevoy- Nice line all together. I use their mineral powder on the face as well as the Bare mineral lines. Use all there make up and fragrance.

You first have to start with a clean face. The best cleanser i know is shu uemura cleansing oil (yellow). Then you can start with a make-up base, MAC and shu has a good base. Then after use studio fix makeup of MAC that comes in cream form. After that top off your foundation with loose powder laura mercier. Thats the best to keep make-up on the whole day. Try to retouch every 4 hours using a compact powder (any would do but i prefer chanel)

I like to start with Maybellines new foundation called PURE, and then I use their concealer which is in a lip stick tube. Then once that is on I use Rimmel clear pressed powder that stops shine and oily skin.
I can work a 10 hour day and it all still looks good by the time I get home. Try not to touch your face throughout the day and or let you hair contantly brush against it. This will also help if your skin starts to appear oily by days end.

Use a good base (foundation or so) and then apply powder. If you don't want to apply foundation, apply just powder instead.
Make-up won't stay put for many hours, without re-touching.
I use different brands such as Rimmel, Maybelline and make-up from the body shop. The same thing doesn't work for everybody.
Try different stuff to see what suits you.

Definetely try MAC. I LOVE all the products. The may be a bit pricy but by far the best I have ever used. Plus there products are "supposively" for Photo-shoots/Runways......whatever they advertise I dont care because its great and I NEVER look shiny or oily!
