Not necessarily. My step-mother's step-mother, if you can get that relationship, was a huge football fan. She used to sit almost on top of the TV to watch her favorite teams and she would jump up and down and cheer.

One time she was rooting so hard for one team that I asked her who she was rooting for. I started rooting for the other team and she asked me why I did that. I told her that I felt sorry for the other team, because she was rooting so much for her team.

I have known other women who are big on sports too. As a matter of fact, if you watch sports broadcasts on the news you will notice a lot of women reporters.

The reason that many women are not into sports is that they were raised to avoid sports. They were told that girls do not play sports and so they were not interested in sports. While there are some women who do not like the violent aspect of football, there are many who see the strategy as the important part. Remember the goal in football is not to hurt the other team, just to stop the motion of the ball.

Take care,
Troy
