i just cant believe the amount of discussion this has generated! of course its not banned - its such a preposterous idea... i'm amazed that people can even consider there to be some truth...astounding.

After reading about the process involved in creating sellotape, I could find that no animal (swine) by-products are used. Also, since sellotape is a modern invention, there is no way it could be forbidden by the Quran. If sellotape really has been outlawed, it had to have been by order of some Imam which, unfortunately, many Muslims put too much faith in. I am Muslim and as such I would follow the Quran, but I am not Wahhabi and give little to know consideration to the decree of some Imam unknown to me. I can find no good reason to ban sellotape.

I would like to say I opened this site expecting to find a serious world news site, instead I find numerous examples of Isamafobia which outline the ignorant view points, mind sets and belief systems displayed by this highly inarticulate group of people, I suggest some of you try a more intellectual site in the vain hope of broadening your tiny little minds. I suppose it was worth it for a good laugh at these numb skulls who probably still believe that the imperial powers of the us and uk aren't the biggest terrorists but yet seem totally ingrossed in cellotape instead, ah well I guess you've gotta find your level and stick to it.

It must be something to do with what it's made with if it's true.
Some glues are made using animal bones.
