yes there is a loophole which means you can apply for a EU licence but it would be illegal to drive in the UK as you would have to declare that you are entitled. I think it is disgusting that it can be done and no proper checks are made, but i do know that there is a loophole.
If you have been done for drink driving and lost your licence then i think you should do yourself a favour, as well as the public and stay off the roads. If you lose your job then that is your own fault and to be honest you have got off lightly. A 2 year old boy was mowed down and killed in front of his house by a drunk driver. The driver was full of remorse after but that's not going to bring the little boy back is it? At the inquest the coroner said if he had been sober the car would have stopped a few feet away from him and he probably wouldn't have even been hit.
Next time you want to drink drive you want to think that is a taxi fare too much to ask if it could stop you killing an innocent child, or anyone.
As for the EU licence, just accept what punishment you have been given. You have got off pretty lucky.

There is no way that you would receive a driving licence from another country to drive here. you will not be able to use one here even if you possessed another licence, until the driving ban is finished. For a starter you would not be able to get insurance whilst your banned. This may make you realise that it is a privilege to have a licence and not a right. Take your punishment like a man and don't drink and drive in future. I hope that you have learned a lesson through this stupid action of yours.

No. You were caught doing a terrible thing and you'll get no sympathy from me.

You could have killed a child! Do you want that on your conscience? Get your licence back the legal way. Stop drink driving, wait until you're allowed and apply for your licence again. Until then you don't deserve to drive.

A foreign licence to use in this country?? I don't think so...you have lost your licence so cant just go and get another one! You lost your licence for a reason and unfortunately you only have yourself to blame. You will have to get a new job until you get your licence back.

No. you do no longer % a driving licence to trip a bicycle. you ought to be charged with being decrease than the effect of alcohol and disorderly or endangering the protection of alternative street purchasers. Any Powell replaced into driving a motorised vehicle on a twin carriageway. i think of golf buggies at the instant are not authorized on motorways. Bicycles additionally are banned. in addition to he replaced into driving the incorrect way on the annoying shoulder. i anticipate you % a driving licence tocontinual a golf buggy on public highways, hence him dropping his licence.

No, and if there was I wouldn't tell you. I'm glad you are off the road, too many innocent people die these days from drink driving. It's a waste of life and causes unnecessry suffering and sadness!

You obviously haven't learnt your lesson by the shame of having your licence taken away. Whats it going to take, someone being killed?

Not a chance and you deserve losing your licence for that reason. Why should you put other peoples' lives at risk just because you can't stomach a little inconvenience of having to use public transport?
