i'm a new comer to the US. and I heard about the tradition sale after thanksgiving, and it sounds interesting...I'm planning to go with my friends this year, and i'm thinking about buying a camcorder and an Ipod nano....so what time does the sale starts at, or I should say what time does the store open at? and for how many hours? the entire day? or wat? and also, does the Apple product ever go on sale? and for the thanksgiving sale, is it worth it? I mean is it like 20 , 30 dollars cheaper, or is it like 100$ cheaper??

check out www.blackfriday.com - they give you the ads before they come out on thanksgiving day -you can see whats for sale and plan your shopping trip - you best bet though is to be up and ready to go as early as 3am - most stores open early and lines form well before 4am - if you go any later you can loose out on the best deals that will be available.
Also , Many stores will be open Thanksgiving day w/ special sales so look out for those too.

Depends on the store. I work at a major department store and we're opening at six AM that day; that seems to be a standard time.

I'd get a newspaper on Thanskgiving and check out the ad inserts (there will be many!). Then you can gauge which stores you want to go to, and plan when as well. It's an absolutely vicious day for shopping, and having a plan is seriously advised. I mean, down to things like bringing bottles of water and snacks for when you're stuck in a line for an hour.

If you do find a good deal on things like iPods and camcorders, remember, people will be lining up outside for hours before the stores open, and once the store is out of something, they're out of it. Go camp out for the best deals early.

And no, I never shop this day. But I do work it..

Mary Smith, if you go at 5 PM, you're way too late. I hope you meant 5 AM.
