I did not realize that the issue was over moderate and liberal.

I was led to believe that there was a referendum on an party and the alternative was better than what was currently being offered by the right wing.

Conservative Democrats were the ones who won big, and that could be a good thing: there might be an opportunity for some unity in Congress as hard-liners give way to more objective thinking in Congress. -RKO-
