About 3 weeks ago, i got a little cold. I didn't care much, i just tok some cold medicine, etc. Then about 1 week later, i got new symptoms like a sore throat, difficulty swallowing. This didnt bother me much, i just thought the cold got a little worse. Now, in the 3rd week, i have gotten alot more symptoms. I have a doctors appointment today, but i still would like some feedback. Here are my new symptoms as of this week:

-Hot flashes that cause me to become confused about where i am, etc.
-Chills shortly after the hot flashes go away
-Throwing up green mucous, the same stuff that is coming out of my nose ( i know, sounds gross)
-Sharp cheast pains, and i can feel heart palpitations.
-My arms and hands have been going numb randomly throughout the day, especially when i wake up in the morning
-I am extrememly tired no matter how much i sleep
-If i get up for any reason, i feel light-headed and nausea.

I am a pretty young person, in my mid-twenties, dont take any medicines.

Sounds to me that you've got what almost everyone else has had on the east coast ... I too have experienced what you have and had along with the ringing & ear blockage - Its a pain and you'll get very frustrated - seems to me that it appears to be a strain of the flu -

1. Air circulation (open windows as soon as you can)
2. Throw out your pillows and/or bed accessories or disinfect them with Lysol or Red cross spray (put them in the dryer for 1/2 hour)
3. Wash your linens two or three times a week
4. Get new toothbrushes
5. Get disinfectant wipes and wipe down your entire apartment or as much as you can
6. Antihistamines witll stop the post nasal drip that causes the build up in your lungs (where the infection is living) - just remember it puts some people to sleep - so be careful
7. Drink liquids (water mostly)
8. Get up and stretch at random times (this will help with the circulation to yoru arms and legs (it will eliviate some of the tingling/numbness you are having
9. Take showers - this will warm your muscles and help you breathe better and make you, in general, feel a bit better

Hope this helps!

You've just got a bug. It may just be a case of the cruds but anytime anything green comes out from anywhere that is a sign of infection. The sore throat is probably from throwing up, coughing. Hot flashes--probably a fever. Your doctor will probably check for pneumonia--take x-rays to make sure your lungs are not filling up with fluid--hence the chest pains. The lightheaded ness is because your weak, probably not eating. The tiredness is just cuz your body is wore out. You need to rest, drink as much fluids as possible (juices--some acidy juice like OJ may irritate your throat or stomach. I like Ginger Ale/Vernors or hot tea, broth) and although you don't feel like eating make yourself eat something. If you do not eat/drink you could dehydrate. Crackers, soup/broth. Wash your sheets. Get the germs out of the house. Take a warm shower---the steam is good for congestion. Throw your toothbrush away and get a new one. (This is a very important tip most people do not think of)The doctor will probably give you a antibiotic and if you need something for throwing up or cough he can prescribe that also or you can find over the counter meds. Most important rest and plenty of fluids. Take vitamins. Zinc, Vit. C. The doctor only knows for sure but sounds like the flu. It's going around. Take care.

Sounds like either bronchitis or pneumonia. Go to the doctor and get some antibiotics. The chills, light headiness, nausea, confusion ,and hot flashes are probably from a high fever. The pains in your chest are probably the infection in your lungs or bronchial tubes. The green mucous is a definite sign of infection. It doesn't matter how old you are to get a upper respiratory infection.

birdgirl gave you an astonishing answer, all that she has written is actual, i might merely desire to characteristic or rigidity that chilly climate would not reason colds, viruses do. that's somewhat useful to disinfect your place, sparkling all surfaces thoroughly, use lysol the place ever you are able to, merely spray it on and enable it dry, and wash your palms lots. you may additionally desire to get an air purifier on your place and have your place checked for a improve of carbon monoxide. i think that "grimy" air on your place led to your sneezing greater healthful.

Most of your symptoms seem associated with lack of oxygen to the brain...leads me to suspect that you have pnuemonia. Glad you are seeing a doctor.`
