If you work from home on your computer, BUT have access to a company software....do you have your own IP address or if you were on the internet would it pull up the company's IP address ?

Unless you remotely connect to your Work PC and then Browse the net using that PC, then you are broadcasting your OWN IP from your HOME computer.

You have your own IP address assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider. This is either static (doesn't change) or changes at the whim of your provider. When you are logging on to your company's site you are establishing a network connection to the company's server. Software on logon protocol's establish this connection and logs your IP as the computer that is connecting to the company server.
If you are routing your connection through the company and software from the company is actually connecting with the WWW then perhaps the IP detected would be the company's but your IP would still be linked (visible to your company) to that connection event.

If you pulled up the IP address you might get your company webpage. The only way to use software from work at home is to install a program on both computers capable of this. MAxthon has a free one. Before you install make sure its all right with your company and boss.

If you want access to your office computer you need to login to your office's network and then access your computer using remote desktop which no company shall allow for it is too insecure.
Normally your office would provide you a PPP callback facility wherein, you dial your office's network from your home computer and then hang up. Then the office network calls you back and connects you to the office's network.
In any case your IP address will be that provided by your ISP and not the IP that your office computer has.
