Unity, whats that? No unity. Its like asking shark and a dolphin to get along, it aint gonna happen. Sure it would be nice but look at it realistically. I do agree with a lot of others, so now the Dems are to play nice guy when the Reps bashed Clinton and over something as dumb as sex. Please that has nothing to do with the way he ran our country that was between him and his wife. People need to stop caring so much about other peoples personal lives they arent celebrities they are the people who RUN OUR COUNTRY! And I especially "like" (do not like) the comment about the market crash, just the way it always has been another Rep thinking about THEIR bottom line. Now I would just like to see the Dems get in there and REALLY DO something. Stop being so middle road, just do it! We'll all see. Besides seriously after 12 yrs, Dems were do.

We need compromise, not unity. And as long as Bush continues to make himself look stupid, the Bush bashing will never stop.

I think most Democrats are mostly middle of the road, and up until recently, most republicans. I think most intelligent people believe in (checks and balances) the balance of power between to 2 parties, that way the extreme left can keep the extreme right in check and visa-versa, the last 4 years that balance has not been there, and it was not a good thing

The first poster is right. The Republicans continually bash Clinton despite the fact that he hasn't been in office for six years now. We have a right to celebrate our wins. The country is moving in the right direction.

I think they only get the house majority, Bottles. And I'm not holding my breath about unity. They think the first order of the day is to send neocons to Canada. Have you noticed?

And I agree with that, but George cannot turn into the Abominal "No" Man. He must LEAD the unity campaign

I hope it stops, myself. Same with bashing Nancy Pelosi, and the like. One sided arguements aren't my style; I think the Liberal and Conservative bashing needs to stop.

The Democrats may have won numbers last night, but it may not be such a disappointment to you. Most the the Republican seats won by the Democrats last night were won by conservative Democrats. Yup. That's right folks. Conservative Democrats do exist. In addition, most of these new conservative Democrats are ex-military. Boy, the news just gets better.
With this new group on conservative ex-military Democrats headed to D.C. perhaps the Democratic party may start contributing something useful to the country.

Did you guys preach "unity" when you were in charge? Did you guy throw out the olive branch to actually work with the Dems? No, you did not. You strong-armed, bullied and belittle the minority. No, unity will come later. Scores will be settled now.
