You can't tell that just from these elections. It depends on who is running and what their policies are. I personally, don't care what someone is, democrat, or republic....I vote for who I agree with the most. If that happens to be a democrat, then I vote democrat....if it happens to be a republican, then I vote republican....

NO. They do have good candidates in the running. However the candidates are good for the Democrats and not America. They just don't have experience. The republican will win with Sen John McCain from AZ. Watch what happens. The Democrats will try to tear apart John's voting with Bush. But they won't have a solid concrete plan especially on dealing with terrorist. John is very well respected among Democrats. This will allow him to work with a Democrate House Rep's and Senate. In Fact JOhn Kerry wanted him to be VP with him during the Presidential elections 2000. John Delcined of course since he's a Republican. There is a reason why we have not been attacked. It's called the PAtriot Act. which the Dems hate? Why would you hate spying on people in America if they intend to do harm. I don't think the Gov't will spy on me. I abide by the law...I don't try to blow up Americans.

I think it certainly gives them a better chance at the White House in 2008. The tragic thing is that we still only have a choice between crooked Republicans and crooked Democrats. American consumers have multiple choices on everything from cars to cucumbers, but when it comes to selecting credible, honest, viable political leaders, we're only left with those from a corrupt, monopolistic two-party system that's had a strangle-hold on American politics for more than a hundred years.
It's time for fresh political parties with new ideas and an actual commitment as that of a servitor.
"Republicrats" have long forgotten that it's the PEOPLE they're supposed to serve, not the other way around. It's the PEOPLE they're supposed to serve, NOT corporations, special interest groups, lobbyists, wealthy elitists, and the military-industrial complex. Maybe our newly-elected candidates should all be required to take Civics 101 so they understand what being elected to Congress is all about. -RKO-

Hard to say. It took a LOT of Republican screw ups over 6 years to give the Dems their victory. The country still leans a little more to the Republican side than Democratic in core values. Also the Democrats have historical tendency (at least over the past 15 years or so) to screw up even faster themselves.

I would say that if the Republicans "calm down" and listen to more reasonable (moderate) leaders like Elizabeth Dole, John McCain, Schwatzenegger etc, then they will have a good chance to turn the tables back in two years. I don't care how "non-partisan" you are, almost NOBODY expects ANY form of "moderation" from Howard Dean and Nancy Polosi..........

It will only happen if the democrats are able to move the country forward, if the repuglican president opposes it in any way I can see a democratic president in 08. Minimum wage, health care, and the war in Iraq will be the major issues.

Unlikely.

Voters don't like one party having total control. That's why the Democrats won so many elections last night. This pretty much seals the fate of the next Presidential election. It will go Republican.

With the choices that the Democrats seem to be offering, Kerry and Hillary Clinton, I hope not.
