the republican agenda has been denounced by the electorate and if they stay with their (stay the course) policy thier era is not only over it will be dead...remember cheney said that no matter what the election results he said stay the course, HOW ARROGANT his response is a slap in the face of the electorate and if history tells us anything its this, americans dont like to be ignored or taken lightly. so in closing if they stay the course they will lose the senate and the presidency next election

At least until the Democrats mess up and get complacent again and grow out of touch, much like the Republicans are out of touch now. That's what seems to happen to those who live in the "beltway." Washington DC is SO totally out of touch with what goes on across the country.
Let's hope after 12 years of Republican majority "rule," we'll remember why we lost Congress to them in the first place. I think women, people of color and young voters is what did the Republicans in when it comes to their feelings about Iraq, the scandals, and the economy. These groups are the most affected.

probably.
we had 40+ years of democratic era where demos had control and ran us into the ground.
We had gop control (mostly) for much of 80',90's etc...
And was doing good till 9/11, they had the chance, but 9/11 helpepd to derail gop.
Now we will have 2+ years of demo tearing down whatever good there was done on taxs and death taxes, etc.
If they continue control, we will get rollbacks to the 70's,80's (pre-reagan) on many issues.

i think that we have cycles. rep controlled the houses from 1994 to now. each party screws up when they are in power, and the other party takes over. too bad people don't care about the issues only the R or D next to the name

it appears so but don't celebrate too quickly because now the dem's need to not just chant ' i hate bush' but they need to actually do something about all they complained about....a plan or some ideas would help but as usual they are all out of those.

No,Rep.'s don't just go away..Patience is a virtue,a trait that Dem's lack in understanding,I just hope the Dem's deliver what they promise & not just deliver more lip service that they are so good at..Make us proud Dem.'s..
Because if you don't the entire country suffers & you must bare the burden..
