i want to go to my friends party ( girl ) but my parents don't let me should i tell them the truth?

Dont lie-you may not understand now why your parents do what they do...but later in life you will. You should always be turthful!

Why do your parents not want you to go? They might not have (what seems to you) to be a good reason to say no. But underneath, they have a bad feeling, or know something about her or her family or something about that group of friends. They might not be able to put their feelings or knowledge into words.

Remember, they are very aware of stuff that happens at parties, and it wasn't that long ago when they were sneaking out to mess around with friends and getting into trouble. If you think they don't know what goes on at parties, you're wrong.

If you lie to them, you're doing a couple things. First you're showing major disrespect. Also, if you want them to trust you, you have to be honest with them. Lying kills trust. If you value your relationship with your parents, don't lie to them. Don't go to the party if they say not to. It's not worth it.

Besides, you can give your gift to her the next time you see her. If she is the kind of friend you really want to have, she will appreciate that you honor your parents and won't lie to them. That's the kind of guy a girl wants to be with in the long run.

don't lie. it's not worth it. there must be a reason why your parents don't want you to go. listen to them. i would buy her a present and apologize saying that you couldn't make it because you already had plans that day. if you like her a lot, why not take her out for a burger or a slice of pizza after school.

lying is never the answer. I hate to say it but as long as your parents disagree you should not go. Tell them you would still like to buy her a gift though. Let them know that lying to go to the party was on you mind but you choose to be an adult and be honest. Maybe your show of responsibility will be enough to get them to let you go.

well im 21 years old of still live with parents but they do allow me to go out, parties ..etc also tell lie because they dont want me go out anywhere that i like so best choice is tell lie another wise they might not let u go if u decide to tell them. Just tell them u r going to study or wat ever u think is good execuse, i always have execuse even wen i sleep over my gf place and i just tell them mum or dad going to sleep in my friends house( boy) and they dont saying anything.But if they find out that u tell lie then u should tell them mum and dad look reason didnt tell u guys is because i was thinking u guys dont tell me so had no choice apart telling lie and im sure they will know they are too strick parents. You could make a deal with your parents, eg. more dishwashing. However, if your parents aren't that easy and carefree, you could always half lie. For example, you could say that you were going to a party but don't mention that it includes lots of girls or booze or whatever- something parents don't like. However, actually, if there IS booze and crack, I wouldn't go to it if I were you.

Why won't your parents let you go? Will there be no parental supervision? If you can't go, yes, I would get a present.
