i listen to his press conferences on c-span now and again, and they are hilarious - in a very depressing way. this speech - who knows? he's liable to whig out, he always seems just on the edge of it.

How amusing. Mr. Bush has not been defeated. He has won every election he has stood for. He may be a lame duck now, but frankly given the accomplishments of government for the last 2 years he already was in my opinion.
c321arty: The 2000 election was a prime example of why the electoral college should be abolished. However while I believe presidents should be elected solely on popular vote, the system is not setup that way. Winning the electoral college in absence of the popular vote does not amount to stealing anything. Trying to blame Bush for Florida voters inability to properly read a ballot is ridiculous now and it was ridiculous then. Further it was not Bush' Supreme Court. The court which made decision had no appointees made by Mr. Bush. Your contention is typical sour grapes and a refusal to place the blame where it should be placed on the Electoral System. Either way he is the president so by any definition he won the election.

Do you really think that he will ever give one. He is looking this morning on how to make lemonade out of the lemons he got in yesterday's election.
