You will probably say, we are modified gorillas but why do gorillas have eyes??Why fish, animals... etc. have eyes???I am curious...

An eye is an organ of vision that detects light. Different kinds of light-sensitive organs are found in a variety of organisms. The simplest eyes do nothing but detect whether the surroundings are light or dark, while more complex eyes can distinguish shapes and colors. Many animals, including some mammals, birds, reptiles and fish, have two eyes which may be placed on the same plane to be interpreted as a single three-dimensional "image" (binocular vision), as in humans; or on different planes producing two separate "images" (monocular vision), such as in rabbits and chameleons.

The 5 senses are there for self preservation.
The eyes and ears combined help us and all other animals with eyes and ears to avoid threat and equally find food for survival (for hunting in our earlier evolution).

to see! why else? if we did not have eyes then we would not see anything we are doing and everything we do might come out wrong and we will not know if it is right or it is wrong becuse we could not see if we made a mistake or not.

We need them to keep watch, I have one set in front of my head to use in work/general life situations and a second set in the back of my head so I can keep track of what activities my kids are up to!!!! You will find most "mothers" have two sets, strange but true!
