Three Asians have been found guilty of the murder of a 16 year old white boy in Glasgow. The gang abducted the boy, stabbed him 16 times and then set him alight, while he was still alive. Do white people not count when it comes to racist murders? No disrespect to the black and Asians killed in recent racist murders but this was one of the most appalling murders in recent times yet very little has been reported about it.

It's the top UK story on BBC, although the US election result is the top story overall. Given that two men had already been convicted in relation to the abduction/murder, there has of course been plenty of previous coverage of this case. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,1354682,00.html
Yahoo news tends to lag the regular news coverage such as the BBC, so that's why it hasn't come over the wire here yet.
As it only happened this morning, obviously it can't possibly be in the newspapers yet. I would expect that it will be covered tomorrow, although again the US election result is likely to get top billing, except possibly in Scotland.

Close the door to these people now and review all illegal immigrants, all over the past 10 years, even those illegally in our country who have been given a national insurance number in order to hide the true figures, though they are not British. Make these people deserve to live in Britain, make them earn it and to blend into the community, if the don't send them back. REPATRIATE>>>>>

murder of any sort of is not right be it a white person being killed or a black person being killed. it is true that more publicity would have been given if it was someone of a different race.i honestly haven't even seen this on the news and i think the point that you have raised is true.
i just read it i think it is disgusting that people do not value life at all. sadly its not their life they take its other people's

I've just watched the lunchtime news and it was one of the lead stories.
but I do agree with you that when most people think of racism they think of white against asian/black not the other way round which is wrong as it happens all over and it's not just white aggressors

because nobody cares if a white person was murdered, as disgraceful as it is. it should be front page of all the news papers, just like stephen lawrence was, but then we would probably be called racists for calling them racists, no win situation.

Sad fact of today's society. If it was a gang of whites who attacked an asian youth, then you can guarantee it would be all over the TV and make front page news.

Today, Wednesday the 7th Nov. it has only just hit the news. Probably, shamed into it. This sort of behaviour has to be stamped on immediately, otherwise they will become even more arrogant and bold, and it will escalate.

I agree with you totally, but to be honest I think it is our own fault...........when someone from another race is killed their friends and families make alot of noise about it and shout ' racism ' loud and clear! But when a white kid is killed we say nothing......
I am not sure people would take any notice anyway, it seems white people cannot say other races are racist towards them.

Statistics show that there are more white victims of racially aggravated crime than there are ethnic minorities.
These things are always hushed up, as we know; only white people are racist. Ssshhhhhhhh!
