Conditional means that you have a place on that course providing that you meet certain criteria, it should state on your offer what that is,
Generally it is dependant on grades, and the uni will state what grades that they will accept on that course, It could be on an audition or interview basis also.

I would suggest calling the uni and asking what their conditions are if it is not stated in the letter, you will have a clearer understanding of their requirements then, dont worry though as it will defo not do your nerves any good!

Good luck getting in

There is no excuse for being mean. I think that they are responding to the way society treats them. In this day and age, young people do not have the respect for the older generation like they once did. Aged people are tolerated at best. Made to believe that they can fix themselves. Lose weight, get a face lift, just act young. Well, that might allbe well and good but it is not reality. Young people today are so use to instant everything. They really think that you can take a pill to cure everything or surgery. There are still some aging issues out there that the pharmaceutical companies haven't mastered yet. Seniors are not treated with respect instead they are patronized. More and more the people of today are becoming less and less tolerant of things that move slow and seniors move slow and they have earned that right. Seniors feel that when they move slow that it just can't be tolerated and that makes them a little irritable not mean.

Conditional means that you get the required grades at A level but AS level is quite a good indicator of what you will achieve at A level. Therefore, the University of Nottingham has provisionally accepted you for your degree course and there is absolutely nothing to worry about. If YOU decide to go to Notts. uni, will you share Robin Hood with me?.

Yeah, it usually means you still have some paperwork to fill out. It could be forms to fill out, transcripts from your high school, or an interview if that's required. You should be able to find out from the website what exactly is missing, or call the admissions office and they can tell you specifically what you need to do. Conditional acceptance is a good thing! It means they like what they see so far, and they're just waiting on certain formalities that need to be fulfilled before you are fully accepted.

The "conditional" decision is concerning your marks that you get in your A Levels.

They will accept you if you receive let's say 2 "B"s and a C.
Usually these have to be at a specific subject.

If you surpass these requirements great. If you under achieve, it is not all bad news. the Uni would look at what other students grades are.

Anyway good luck

Back in my day - all those years ago - a conditional offer meant you had been accepted on the condition that you meet the agreed exam requirements. For example, I had a conditional offer of three Cs at A-Level. Hope this helps.

This might be a conditional offer, depending upon grades. If you get the right A levels, or meet the course conditions outlined int the UCAS book, they will let you in. If not......

It means that your offer is conditional upon you receiving your predicted grades as stated on your UCAS form. It's the standard offer given to students who don't have their A level results yet.

Means that you are accepted on the condition you pass interview as well as achieve the grades/point that they require you to get.

It means that provided you meet the criteria set by the University you will get a place.

This is usually getting certain grades.
