It is 30 days our of warranty and there was a little clunk and the engine died. The screen says "Fuel Injection Failure" but for some reason the doors will not lock so could this be an electronics issue ?

I am sure its electronics, check what else is down, especially the horn.

Open each cell on the battery and see if its clear, and then get a battery charger, charge for at least 12 hours.

Make sure you have the radio code, disconnect the battery during the charging and reboot the elctronics and the ecu

If the engine turns over ok, check for a spark. If you have fuel being injected (you'll be able to smell it) and there's no spark you'll need a crankshaft position sensor (£18 from renault).
