No, you need a DVD writer. You can buy an external DVD writer to plug into your computer (as long as your computer is capable of having the device added). USB connector is what I use. If your computer is relatively new, you should have availbable USB ports and be able to just plug one in and it will be automatically detected. Prices vary depending on the specifics of the unit.

NO. AS A STANDARD CD HAS THE CAPACITY OF ONLY 700MB.WHEREAS A DVD HAS THE CAPACITY OF 4.1GB.SO STAN. CD IS THIN & DVD IS THICK.THEREFORE THE SIZE OF THE HEADS IN BOTH WRITERS DIFFER.BUT U CAN BURN A STAN. CD ON A DVD WRITER.
