Tester and Webb lead in their perspective senatorial races, and the two independents in the Senate are liberal-moderates.

If Tester and Webb win, which I'm hopeful about, then we just have to hope Leiberman keeps up his promise to caucus with the Dems. I don't know if I believe him in this, at least on anything involving the Iraq occupation, since he agrees with the Reps on that. If he does caucus with the Reps, then ::shudder:: Cheney's the tie-breaker.

Assuming that Tester and Webb win then yes, the dems will have the senate.

It will be a couple days at least while they count absentee and provisional ballots. It could take even longer.

Nice to know the independents are on the left. Of course one of them you are talking about is Lieberman who will vote against the Dems on pretty much anything of importance.

They already have the House. I wouldn't be surprised if they took the Senate, too. Thus, a balance has returned; the yes-men of the Bush Administration are no more.

There are a lot of absentee ballots in Virginia. Plus there were a bunch of provisional ballots.

The lawyers are there already, and since they get paid by the hour it probably won't be settled as quickly as it should be.

You still have Dick Cheney as the tie breaker. It will be close. If Bush has the smarts, he will learn to compromise. Arnold S. in California did, and he won by a landslide.

Not decided yet! Virginia is probably already Dem. Montana is a very close race right now. So it's just one race away!

No definitive answer, all of the votes haven't been counted yet; very close races in a couple of states.
