Of course there are loads of people that lie and just hunt these sites for easy prey,lol...etc but most of us have the odd person that we develop an online relationship with be it just friendly or something else...i suppose my question is ...is there someone that you talk to that you spend more time having good chats with than anyone you connect with in your normal day? and if so...does it strike you as odd or are you quite happy with it?

I so enjoy good chats with people you love that are sitting in front of you especially if you connect on most aspects, BUT the people we deel with daily especially if you work all day, there is no time for this seems like except when we go home if there is someone at home.

Finding a real good connection abroad is not easy, but you can quickly sift through thousands quikly and if someone turns your head, and there is a true connection, then you want to dig deeper and share more.

My answer would have to be no

Although on the internet ... a persons looks or body language does not get in the way ... and you can just connect with them in any way you do ... without thinking about anything else

... I believe that I connect better in person ... as I can read the other person better ...

..and I have the same sorts of chats in person ...as i do online.

Maybe its just a safer way for women to connect with people ... as there are no worries ... about it being more than just a good connection. I mean as far as not having to wrry about physically fending anyone off at the end of a good chat/nite.

... but for me ... no difference

I have a better connection with a friend in the US than I do with a lot of the people around here. I know her, well I've met her on two occasions but we are really close via email and chat. I think it is just the distance that makes it easier. Hard to explain.

Sure i feel easier to talk about ANYTHING online, like stuff I'd never dare try and say to all my girlfriends here...

But there still my closest and best friends cuz they know me in and out, been through rough and smooth, thick and thin. I owe them more then just an hour of a chat online.....

The best part is i dont have to lie about who I am to them, they like me just the way i am

Yep, I got a couple of online friends and even a penfriend that I've been writing to for 25 years. But it is real life. They're as much a part of my world as the person I'll speak to at work tomorrow.

yeah , i tell my online friend stuff that ive never told even my best friends, and we can talk for hours, when im usually not very chatty in 'real life' lol. I think because you've never met them you feel you dont care if they judge you so its easier to be open and honest. It does seem a bit odd but i dont mind lol

well I talked to someone the other day for about 8 hours, but i was home and sick. its easier to open up to folks online than in fornt of you. But human interaction is stilll necessary . I met a few real friends form online though . Internet is a way of communication but real human interaction is still very important

I did, until she connected her web cam and I had to consider a civil action for misrepresentation.

More seriously, it is too easy to create a personality over the web, exaggerating ones virtues and suppressing ones vices. Face to face, body language conveys much that in concealed on the web.

i met a guy online & we've had such a great connection online i still can't believe it. I've been totally honest with him(to the point of even trying to piss him off); he just joked the issues away. He's becoming a very close friend.
It's possible, freaky yes, but possible.
go 4 it. you may be lucky.

yes i do have a better connection with someone online than face to face

it does seem different --- i am not happy but thats only because we have not yet met

because of our connection we are able to talk about anything and get very close emotionally and intellectually
