No That's just a state of mind. There is no way that the phase of the moon will affect how happy I am today. If you constantly believe and think that, you may automatically find yourself wanting to be happy/sad/angry when a full moon rolls around.

Yes...

The Moon's Gravity effects the tides. While that was not your question, it's important to recognize that the forces emited by the moon does reach out and give tangible evidence to it's effect on Earth...

Remember that the human body is a collections of molecules with various electric charges. These charges control how these molecules interact... Also remember that the human nervous system uses electrical charges to pass signals from our senses to our brain to to process our thoughts and moods in our brains.

Now just like the moon's gravity interacts with the Earth - So does the moon's magnetic field interact with the earth's magnetic field.

Scientist believe that certain high flying birds use the magnetic field of the earth for navigation, so it's not improbable to believe that as these birds are able to sense the line of the earth's magnetism - Then in some manner humans are effected by it....

Now the effects of the moon's magnetic field is going to be strongest while the moon is directly over head, and while the moon is closest to the Earth. As such, the earth's rotation and the elipse of the moon's orbit act to amplify the effect...

Now the earth rotates every day - That's actually how we define our days. 8-)

The Moon completes and orbit about once every full moon (offset by the distance the earth has travelled arround the sun)...

There's more than enough empirical evidence that people are more likely to act out during a full moon cycle. This could be graphed monthly based on the number of police calls based on the lunar cycle, but bear in mind that the distance of the moon from the earth during it's "Full Moon" is variable depending upon the time of year...

That might be too abstract a theory to carry to a teacher, however... So let's start again with:

Yes.

The human emotions can be easily effected by light and color. The Full moon casts more light at night. This light tends to excite people, and thus explains why certain people who are more emotional tend to act out more during a full moon's light giving effect while on darker nights they are more subdued...

Yes and no -- I have listed a web page which may help explain my answer. Some people actually have mood swings which happen the same time every month (sometimes at a full moon). There has been a few studies on this. So far the studies have proving one thing that there is a difference between correlation and causation. So it comes down to which side of the fence you are on (correlation or causation)

That's more of an Astrology issue than Astronomy, but in a way a full moon does affect some people emotionally: Like how people percieve it to be romantic.....but thats not a supernatural thing, its just the fact that the full moon is a beautiful thing to look at.

Some people believe that moonlight of the Full Moon causes mental disorders and strange behavior.

Just ask an emergency room nurse or a police phone operator. They will tell you that they are busier on nights when there is a full moon.

"Don't stare at the moon. You'll go crazy."

No, full moon affects only sea level- I mean high and low tide, but not emotions of human beings. Well , you may argue that some have this, it is purely psychological, if you allow them in a room and you tell them and tell them on a half moon day is fullmoon day then also they start behave like that. It is a myth

Well, I've tried to figure that out too, but I havent seemed to notice any difference in emotion between a non full moon and a full one. But I do know that the moon can have an affect on wolves and sometimes in primates. But I can tell you that it really doesnt afftect me. But if you think that it affects you, then thats great, we are all entitled to our opinion, but the science behind it doesnt look good.

The moon effects many things on earth. It also effects most animals. The only being on earth that is not effected by the moons orbit is humans!
