It shouldn't have no impact on the earth.

Gravity is all that keeps us pulled together and it is only dependandt on MASS. If the moon's mass is constant (which I believe it is) it will not matter if it spins 100 times faster, or just halts on it's axis.

that would be impossible due to Moons smaller size, but if it were so, then we would be spinning around the Moon

Would it make a full cycle faster? Shorter months? Be closer to the earth (assuming it establishes a new equilibrium)
