sure they failed to use the full power of the u.s military to put down permanently the terrorists in the middle east, they held back for political reasons and so we continue to fight these cowards. one of the biggest mistakes the rep's made was not to fight back against the constant barrage of criticisms and false accusations. i understand the rep's are not like the dem's in that they like to be 'in your face' and combatative but there are times when you must stand up and respond to the immature tactics of verbal bomb throwing that the dem's are so famous for. many times i wondered why the rep's didn't just stand up to the dem's. the other big mistake and probably the most costly was the denial that the media played a major role in who got elected. its a powerful medium that too many rely on for the 'truth'. too many are easily swayed by the brights lights, pretty colors and clever words brought to them veiled as the truth when in fact it is nothing more than a extreme left agenda.

I look at this as a wake up call.

Reality is, its possible even in 2 years for the demos to undo many things.

Its possible to actually repeal inheritance tax repeals.
They will initiate new taxes as they always have.

They will continue the spending that Bush was forced into by virtue of 9/11. (Btw, previous to Bush they were the party of spending).

We have 2 years of hell to go thru for now.

Btw, Demos were responsible for 35+ years of hell that they put us thru till Reagan got in.

Now we probably have a impeachment coming up.
Of course, there is no real reason to impeach bush, unlike the lies Clinton spoke in court.

Although President Bush was determined to fight, he could carry his allies and the rest of the world with him, in this effort. He appeared to be defensive and abrasive at times. The fact that he was not a good communicate as Bill Clinton was, also made a difference. His aides were not effective enough. He was handicapped in that he did not have some one in the stature of Henry Kissinger.

Let's not forget the corruption that grew under the Republican controlled House.

Let's not forget the lack of support for minimum wage but would increase spending in Iraq, without question.

And how about all the nation-building and exporting democracy to Iraq, yet the Republicans ignored the domestic health care and education issues, approved reduced civil rights here in the USA and didn't do diddly-squat in terms of natural disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina.

The Republicans should blame themselves. I certainly will not blame a voting machine or any other crap that has plagued our elections. If nothing else in 2008 the Reps can say, "at least they know how to lose with dignity". (hopefully). The Dems won: Congratulations.

You are absolutely right.
You can not fight evil by being ladies & gentlemen, and having honor being your highest priority.
To fight evil, you must get down in the gutter with the Democrats so as to have a level playing field.

What I'm curious to know is why you continue to answer my questions when your paltry insults only fuel my resolve and unproductive hunching over the computer giggling.

Have a nice day!

I was "swayed" by the war in Iraq, the murders of over 650,000 innocents, raising oil prices and an illiterate, uneducated man in the presidency.

Don't follow his dictatorial style tryint to make those who choose feel guilt over their actions, pal. It won't work

Yes, of course you are right! I personally think that the main reason for the Republicans' loss is GWB. They might have had a chance without him, Cheney and Ramsfeld.

The world isn't a John Wayne movie. Your attitude would do more harm than good and in the end get more people killed.
