first, list down the 10 numbers, then complete the equation to make it 12
take away the 7,8,9,10 as they are already included in the equation
then put 1 and 6 aside as 6 is repeated and 1 cannot be added up with another number that is less than 10 and more than 1 to make 12.add in 6 and 1 to make 7

That isn't too difficult. The final pair adds to 7, so that can't contain 7,8,9 or 10. What do those numbers need to be added to to make 12?
The two you have left over should add to 7.
