Hi everybody. I don't want or intend to offend anybody here with this answer. Here is my take on it all. When I was 13 years old I remember the Republicans talking on t.v. about "change" and why they should be in power. Then as time went on I was 15 and now the Democrats talked about "change" and how people wan't change. Back and forth it goes as I reached 20 years old and then 30 and as I have grown older and older I have learned that nothing has changed.

If you pay attention to what both parties say, in my opinion, they are not going to make our lives much better. In fact, it's been proven that the stockmarket and economy do better with Divided government. It's as if the economy and the people of the U.S. say "Let's divide the government" so they politicians can't screw it up lol.

Our founders of America seem to be to be brilliant geniuses. They knew of the imperfection of men and the danger of absolute power. In closing my comments I would like to share what my grandfather, a ww2 tank driver told me. He and I were chatting about politics and he said something to me, that, at the time I thought was just venting his opinion. But now..years later as I have grown in wisdom. I realized how "right" and "accurate" my grandpa was when he said...."You know what..they are all *******."

I don't believe that a Democrat or Republican or Independent is the solution to my problems and the worlds. I believe that only 1 person will be able to solve all these problems and I eagerly await "His" return. Then and only then will things be right and perfect and good. :-)

An example may be most useful...

If there is a person out of work...

A republican would say that the newspaper is full of jobs and that it's the individuals responsibility to go out and get a job.

A democrat would say that the job has to be a living wage, and there has to be day care support for the children, the job must have health benefits...

A republican looks at the quantity of things whereas the democrat looks at the quality of things.

As far as elected officials go, not too much. I am a registered democrat. But I am very conservative and find fault with Republicans for not being conservative enough. When it comes to taxes, spending, getting re-elected Republicans are just "democrat-lite."

The Republicans are for keeping the rich (big business, oil, companies, tobacco co`s etc..)rich.They give taxcuts for the rich and as much money in their big business friends pockets as they can get in there so they will be BOUGHT back into office next elections. Democrates our for (what this country is all about ) The working middle class, and making their lives better.ALSO THEY DON`T WANT THE WHOLE FRICKEN WORLD PISSED OFF AT AMERICA

When they first start out there is a big difference. But after a few terms they all become alike. They all join the Good Old Boy Club. Then their only interest is keeping the status quot.

The main difference is that Republicans generally believe in smaller government: That the people can best govern themselves.

Democrats generally believe in bigger government: That the government knows what's best for you.

Republicans = LOWER TAXES because of less government and red tape. We believe YOU know how to spend your money better than the government.

Democrats = HIGHER TAXES because of larger government (got to pay them and their big programs) and more red tape. You are too stupid to know how to spend YOUR money wisely.

One is right and the other is righter, compared to other countries anyway. I always ROTFL when people in the US talk about 'the left' in their politics. Its only somewhat more left than God, The Flag and Apple Pie.

Not much. If they want to stay in office they need to get in touch with the middle class.
