DAT file?

This is a very generic word that you have used. DAT files may virtually be anything!

Some video files generally have the ".dat" extension. But all ".dat" files are not video files. They simply contain some "data". It depends on the person who creates the file to decide what data he puts in the file.

So if you are looking for a video file, use one of your video players (obviously :)). If it says the format is not supported, then try using some text editor (notepad!) to view the file.

Virus definition, or .DAT, files contain up-to-date Virus signatures.... do you have McAfee anti-virus products to protect your computer against virus attacks.
