c) Trinidad & Tobago. It is actually the only country, all other islands being overseas territories of UK (Bermuda, Turks & Caicos and Cayman) and France (St Barts)

TWO answers:

Physically it's D) Bermuda, because it is an isolated island in the Atlantic, not part of the West Indies.

Politcally it's C) Trinidad & Tobago, because it is an independent nation, not a territory or dependency.

Trinidad and Tobago is the only independent country. a,d and e are British overseas teritories and (b) is a department of France.

Edit: Of course french is the official language on St. Barts it's english on all the others.
And Bermuda is the only one not in the tropics, and its the only one named after a pair of shorts.

Okay,I'm totally against referring to any country as"odd".
I mean,sure some countries may have peculiarities and customs different from our own but does that give you the right to call them odd?
