Its what the plastic surgeons do...technically speaking...they nip (cut off) a piece of the skin for example and then they tuck (as in pull it...stretch it..and sow it back up...leaving a stretched piece of your skin there..makin is look tighter..or younger)...i believe thats how face lifts work aswell.

Hope this helps.

A Nip/ Tuck is a term for a plastic surgery similar to the term tuck and roll which is used in automotive repair. Lawyers use it to refer to a face lift. The industry uses it to refer to all plastic surgery. The line goes "You take a nip here and a little tuck there and you will look marvelous." Some think a nip is a nose job or rhinoplasty and a tuck is a tummy tuck. That is where fat is removed a long with excess skin and the remaining skin is stretched to remove wrinkles.

It's a show that airs on the Fx network. Nip/Tuck is something plastic surgeons do, and the two main characters on the show are plastic surgeons. It comes on every Tuesday night around 9p or 10p, but check your local listings.

The show is very addictive! Once you start watching it, you'll have to watch it again and again, just to see what happens next!

Nip and tuck(or, getting nipped and tucked) is slang for having plastic surgery, so the name makes sense.
