After using windows for 13 years, mac os x for the last 8 months, and linux for the past 2 weeks - i go with linux (fedora core 6 to be exact)
But between a mac and windows you have to pick the mac if you want something that just works. No hardware issues, very few viruses, almost no spyware and it can do most everything a pc can do running windows - just better.

hm i think it depends.
mac is much more in a sense "professional" and you could argue that its design and power would be better than windows. mac is the top most preffered computer for graphics design, and i would find the graphics on mac much more nicer, with better applications. mac computers are also higher quality.
however windows is more common for people, and i would say its more user friendly, and as it is the mainly used system, lots of programs are much more suited for windows.
so i would think that if your more interested in designing and more professional use and better quality of work, i would suggest mac. If u want a more easier usable i would think windows.
