If females were legally allowed to take steroids but males were not
...................
I saw on TV the show Scientific America that if women took steroids and competed against males than they would be equal PHYSICALLY
Example......... In the Olympic100 meter sprint males and females could compete together ....and they say that the female would have the advantage in the race leaving the males in the dust
but only if the female was on steroids and the male was steroid free
the program was looking at this possible scenario hypothetically

DO YOU AGREE??
OR IS IT CRAP??

it is true that the average male is strong than the average female... however. when I went through boot camp I out preformed the majority guys on push ups! being a 5'2" 105lbs female. I could out run most of them too at the mile and a half run. my time was under 11minutes. During school growing up I was always one the better athletes. I could be just as good or better then the guys

I can't answer the biological aspect, but stmulisers are not ethical in sports.

I would like to see more unisex sports. Men have a great physical advantage, but on lower levels women could participate too.

There are some sports were the differences are not very significant (like volleyball as mentioned above).

Also, the same sport's female version can be completely different. For example, in handball men are very fast and strong, while in case of women there is more focus on technics.

In the case scenario you gave. An emphatic yes. We all know that men are stronger than women. But when a woman is challenged as in sports she will come through. It is more difficult but yes even without steroids. Give time to train and you will see the fruition of that labor. PS Nice pic.

I guess it could happen

I saw a volley ball game, men vs women (none on steroids) & the woman were doing just as well as the men,
but I did not see who won.
I guess it depends on the sport

take care

Re: the sprint, specifically, I always understood that because the female is curved and not aligned straight, she would be at a structural disadvantage.
