hi if when I get angry i leave the room or place where the anger has taken place. I then find a quieter place i then do a 5 sense excercise.
1. what is your favoutite sight the thing that you like to see watch couldbe a sun set children playing etc.
2. favourite smell
3.taste
4. sound
5. touch
then you mesh these together you take three deep cleansing breaths as you inhale take the things that have angered you
and release the feelings. then you take 3-5 cleansing breaths and imagine all the 5 things together.
for example you could be sat watching a sunset with the smell of fresh coffee with a chocolate bar the sound of the waves crashing on rocks touching you favourite blanket

I bottle it up. I bottle up anger as if I was collecting it, and then one day BAM...
Thats when I take it out on the people who I love most, and who (thank god) are willing to love me despite this!!
I shout, I pick on them - especially with my bf, when I am angry I'll have a go at him even when he's trying to be nice. Very occassionally I have hit. I have also broken stuff in the past - my mobile phone, my laptop....
But most of the time I'm happy - which is lucky!!!!!

I walk - I walk, and walk and walk... then I come home and swim, and swim and swim, then I start on weights. I cannot handle anger, so I literally have to sweat it out. I don't anger easily, and have a very high crap tolerance because people who I cannot abide I simply cut out, so when I get to that point I am far beyond angry - I literally shut down from ANY human contact and drive my body to the point where I can feel physical strain. Then I find I can sit down and see things more in perspective, I call a friend and I talk things out.

Count to 50 and walk away, once I even walked 30 miles one night after getting so mad with my younger brother. It was Mid June and it was bright almost all the way.

I usually hold it in and I know this sounds crazy, but I start cleaning my house. I have all that anger and I kinda convert it into energy. So at least I use it constructively. If I'm past that point, that's when I start yelling and screaming.
