I find doing all your makeup except mascara and lips then covering your face with loose powder helps it last longer. Lips always need to be touched up during the day because color and gloss wear off with eating and talking, and obviously powder on your lashes looks funny. But the girls you're seeing probably re-do it during the day, which I hate to do too, so don't!

I find that the makeup around my eyes lasts much longer if I first use a concealer stick on my skin. It helps me get rid of the dark circles, and provides a "base" that the makeup clings to for hours longer than it does just on the skin alone.
I also never use eyeliner. Instead I use my darker eyeshadow smudged into my lash line with a pointed sponge. It doesn't run like most pencil eyeliners do after awhile.

any make up if its expensive or cheap is gonna come off once u sweat.. it depends on each persons skin type.
ok u say ur skin is dry, so exfoliate ur skin 3-4 times a week.
use a good moisturising face wash.
apply moisturiser n wait atleast 15 mins b4 applying foundation(pancake/cream fondation is better than liquid).
apply cream foundation wth a wet sponge (itl stay longer).
dont use compact powdwer, use loose powder wth a big brush.
try this way n c.
good luck

The best way to get any type of makeup on is to exfoliate your face (gently) 2-3 times per week. That should help...gets that old, yucky dry skin off so you have a clean palate!

you don't need make-up to study, girl! haha..sorry I'm kidding!
All you need is to "prepare" your face before you make up.
Use make up base/primer after your moisturizer, before foundation, will help your makeup stay more longer, and make it smooth even you skin is in the problem.
I have dry skin and I use clarins instant smooth makeup base before I use foundation. try to find some good makeup base/primer at www.makeupalley.com (register first), read some reviews..before you buy make up! gud luck! ;-)
my tips: water base moisturizer+clarins base+make up for ever foundation+loreal translucide loose powder (the rating at makeupalley is good)
a SUPERB combination! I working about 12 hours per day and I don't need any touch up at all!!

I'm sure they reapply their make-up. but you can get better makeup if it isn't staying on during the day. You can always reapply mascara and maybe even eyeliner in the bathroom. You probably may not even wanna try to reapply eye shadow.
