Are talking about RAM or your hard drive? And when you say not working, what is happening? Are you getting any error messsges?
A few things to try:-
1. Free up as much space on your hard drive as possible
2. Use msconfig to limit the number of programs on start up
3. Empty your recycle bin
4. If Windows XP - confgure system for performance
5. Uninstall any programs you don't need
6. Run anti-spyware
7. Get CCleaner or similar and run
8. Upgrade RAM if possible
Hope this helps...:)

It depends on the size if its say 128mb or less I would trash it. If its a 512mb or 1gb stick most manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty on all memory. You might want to check with the maker and see....thanks

Is it RAM that is not working, if so try the RAM with another computer, if it is working then it cannot work for your system and the only thing you can do is to get another one and make sure that where you get, they fix it for you.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
