If my daughter goes into the military that would be her CHOICE and I would expect her to do what was expected of her. By the elected Commander in Chief. Republican or Democrat. Would it have been ok for Gore to start the war? Does the President have to be a vet before he can make the decision? If that is the case alot of Democrats won't be able to be President. . Were you in a war? I do not want to pay higher taxes so that it can used to pay people that are too lazy to work, and for the education of illegal immigrants. Which is what Pelosi will want to do.

I have been over there twice. I signed the enlistment papers without any coercion and I'm proud of what I've done. Do you actually have a son or daughter in the military? If you did, you would know that most of us are willing to go over and fight for our country. People that joined for the college money made a huge mistake. What I'm scared of is that the Dems will pull out before we can get the Iraqi government self-sufficient. Iraq was severely screwed up even before we entered. It will not be perfect overnight. Hell, we have problems over here and we're a world power. I hope my friends have not been killed in vain for a government that's not willing to fully support them.

With this kind of thinking, perhaps we should just eliminate the military altogether. Or better yet, bring back the draft. Then the rich and opinionated can get a chance to do what the rest of us have been doing all along.

There is no reason for higher taxes, it's pure class warfare.
Who is it that opens new businesses and creates jobs? The welfare recipients?
You would rather have the war on OUR soil?

Democrats in power does not necessarily equal high taxes. I mean, jeez, guys, when are taxes too low? When we have a record deficit? When we don't have enough money to pay our vets' health insurance? When our roads are crumbling and don't get plowed in the winter (hello, from Pittsburgh!)? Taxes do pay for sh!t, you know, and it's sh!t we need. Ask New Orleans if our taxes are low enough yet. Ask the miners' families.

So you blame the president for sending kids to war-what differece would it have made had he been in a war? Y'know people die in war that is just the way it goes, and none of them were drafted. I would pay higher taxes to get rid of people like you!
