I doubt it they never got good treatment before under Democrats.

With the Democrats back in power, yes! The nation's elderly citizens have been getting the very short end of the stick during the Republicans' 12-year rule of Congress! They deserved a whole lot better treatment than that!

Didn't get any better the last time the Democrats had power. I don't know why you people can't understand that neither party gives a damn about the poor. If you can't make the campaign contribution you don't matter. Taxes will go up on income and property both. The increase on property tax will really hurt those on a fixed income. Litigation will increase raising the cost of health care and health insurance, payrolls will be higher for workers, which means producers will raise the price of their goods to cover increased payroll costs. Those on fixed income won't get a raise though
