I have read all the guff about how to quit smoking,I was given the ultimate choice, carry on smoking and die,or quit and live,I have not smoked for over 3 months and to be quite honest,I wonder why I ever smoked,I do not miss it one iota, but you have to be ready mentally for this,no gums or potions will do it for you

You did the right thing. Smoking is expensive and gross.

That's great that you were able to quit smoking as have millions of other former cigarette smokers. Some have an easier time quitting than others. I think it all boils down to motivation and discipline.

Congratulations on being over three months smoke free.

Well done - welcome to the ex-smokers club. I'm on 3 1/2 years now and have saved loads of cash! I used to write it in my diary and give myself a reward with the savings. Year 1 was a DVB player with hard drive, year 2 was a car! I was in hospital, I could smoke - once I could get out of bed - but i went a week and so thought I can go without for life now.

GOOD for you!! Yours is a success story. My doctor said the very same thing to me, and I stopped smoking 26 years ago and would never smoke again. Good luck!! Keep up the good work!!

Chow!!

Congratulations, and good for you. I think the key to quitting is that you really want to do it deep down inside.
