Being a mostly liberal Dem,I totally agree. Now is the time to get together and put this country of ours on the right course.
Fix the mess in Iraq.Make sure that people have affordable health care.Give people a living wage.Curb immigration,The list is endless... We no longer have time to fight among ourselves. It is time for action.....peace

We are excited and happy because FINALLY dubya won't be able to continue to rule as if he were a King or something, the American people have restored the important system of checks and balances. dubya has really messed up the country, raising taxes on the majority of people, cutting funding for schools, ripping health care from seniors and handing it to the health insurance companies and dragging us into a war that has killed so many people for nothing.

I couldn't agree more. I'm also Rep. but we all need to agree to dis-agree and focus on presenting a united front to the rest of the world. Instead of sitting back and placing blame on everyone else. Truth is, if they didn't want a repubilcan president, house, and senate for the past decade they should have got out and voted earlier. I voted in the years past and I voted yesterday, if I don't like the way things go I can complain. But if you don't vote you don't have a voice.
Couldn't agree more eva.

Well, they say turnabout is fair play. Amazing the tone this morning from the republicans seems to have changed. yesterday it was dogmatic refusal to cooperate and "liberal bashing". Now that they lost power its "why cant we all just get along?"...what happened to the arrogance of November 6, 2006?

Well get ready for the impeachment hearings. And forget about the renewal of the tax breaks.

They will think they have some kind of mandate.
Hang on to your pocketbook, if you thought Congress was on a spending spree before, watch out.
They'll tax you to death, then tax your estate...
